Kannada film AITHALAKADI releasing this friday

Kannada Film-maker Bullet Prakash’s Aithalakadi is a unique project. Starring 108 senior kanada actors in various roles, the film will also have a special song sequence starring Neettoo and Ravichandran.

kannada actress Neetu says “I play a flower seller, Sevanthi, who’s a huge Ravichandran fan. I’m thrilled about having got the opportunity to shake a leg with him,” says Neettoo. The film also has guest appearances by biggies like Sudeep, Duniya Vijay, Jaggesh and Vijay Raghavendra.

Kannada actress Neethu cheated by noted director

Neethu who lost the lead role in kannada film Huli to Jennifer Kotwal says it was because of director Omprakash Rao’s foul play. “When I was signed on for the film, I was told that I would be playing the role of a television journalist. Without assigning any reason or informing me, the director then signed on Jennifer Kotwal for the same role. He cheated me,” she says. The film has Kishore playing the lead role for the first time in Kannada.

Yet the chubby kannada actress neetu need not worry much for a lost role as April is turning out be a month for a 'Neetu Film Festival.' April 9 will see the release of her film Krishna Nee Lateaagi Baaro, followed by Aithalakadi on April 16 and Thyagu on April 23.

After shimmying with Baba Sehgal for a song in Punit rajkumar, Neethu shared the stage at the State Film Awards 2009 last Sunday with Puneeth Rajkumar. “I am so happy that my programme at the awards was with Puneeth. He was busy and rehearsed for just one day. But everyone is appreciating us for the dance,” says Neethu.

Kannada actress Neetu wants to get lovey dovey

After hit kannada movie  Gaalipata where’s hot Neetu? When we spoke to her recently, the actress was shooting in Shravanabelagola for Baraguru Ramchandrappa’s Ugragami. 

“I play a girl called Shanti, who’s just married and the day she steps into her new home, the entire family is held hostage by a terrorist. The film is about the happenings in the house in 24 hours. I found the script really engrossing,” says Neetu. Isn’t it too early to play such roles in her career? “I know I’ve just started, but I couldn’t let this opportunity pass because Baraguru is known for his mature subjects,” she says. 

This hot kannada actress Neetu’s also doing a Tamil flick Chintamani with newbie, Velu. “I’m also excited because I’ve just completed by first year MA in Philosophy,” gushes the actress. Meanwhile, Neetu adds that hence forth, she wants to do more lovey dovey roles.
