Kannada Psycho - Melody and meaning clubbed in 'Psycho'

The current rage in the audio film market for the spectacular rendering and well written lyrics in the music composition of kannada music director Raghu Dixit 'Psycho' is worth buying for many reasons. The compositions are too good, sung in low, middle and high pitch. 'Psycho' is a perfect mix of good film music. In the debut film music and singing Raghu Dixit has created a sensation.

The Kannada film 'Psycho' which is very unique because the main lead players of the film is kept in suspense till the morning show of the film has earned good hype.

The first song in the album of 'Psycho' Kannada film Yee Thanuvu Ninnadhu Ninnane Yee Manavu Ninnadhu Ninnane….is a love song with lot of good words in it. The husky voice mixed with high pitch is pleasing the lover on the screen and expressing the height of love. Yee Jeeva Hodharu…Neene Nagu… is very well written. There is a mild humming for the background score gives good mood for the song. Raghu Dixit and director Devadatta made joint effort for this song lyric.

The second song is the most favorite song in nook and corner of Karnataka. Ninna Poojege Bandhe Madheshwara Enna Karunadhe Kaayo Madheshwara Ye shankara Premankura Omme Chandhadhi Nodo Madeshwara…sung in the western style is also another form of extending devotion to lord Madeshwara of Mala Mahadeshwara Hill. This song is a joint venture of Raghu Dixit and V.Manohar.

The third song Beladingalanthe Minu Minugutha Belakai Bandiralu Neenu…Anuragadalli Hole Holeyata…reminds of the light music style that is very popular in Karnataka. Kanasallu Huchchananthe ninagai Oduve.. The humble admission of lovers is very melodious and rendition from Haricharan and Saindhavi would be liked by lovers who like silence. Jayanth Kaikini the No.1 lyricist today in Kannada cinema is simply great in this song.

Mussanje Rangalli Theli Hode….is with a very good classical background – the female voice of Saidhavi is so sweet. This is soft and once again like the light music style. The veena instrument is very pleasant. The perfect hearing of lyrics is another addition boon for this song. This is the last song of veteran lyricist R.N.Jayagopal before his death.

Eno Idhe Yee Preethili Yeno Idhe….sung by Raghu Dixit is a love song in the sad style is having very good meaning. In meaning this is the top of all. Akasha Sullagidhe Bhoomi Mullagidhe… (sky is falls and earth has become a thorn) is the beauty of the lyricist. The pen of Jayanth Kaikini has put down the height of pain of a lover.

Another already hit song in radio channels Namma Naadu Karunadu….is on the significance of Karnataka state. Raghu Dixit and Jayanth Kaikini have jointly written this song.
There is a very fine flute bit after the songs in this album.

The songs composed by Raghu Dixit have the assistance from Santosh, Narayan and Sandeep Vasishta. 'Psycho' is 4D creations maiden venture in Kannada. Skanda Audio has released the album to the market. The CD is priced at Rs.45

Kannada movie 'Milana ' completes 365 days

At the PVR cinema hall entrance the most congested place, the 365 days of 'Milana' starring Puneeth Rajakumar and Parvathi Menon was celebrated in a simple style.
A huge cake was cut by the power star of Kannada cinema with his brother Raghavendra Rajakumar, director Prakash, Producer Dushyanth, music director Mano Murthy and cameraman Krishnakumar of the film.

Raghavendra Rajakumar disclosed on this occasion that Dr Rajakumar's three films Bangaradha Manushya, Shanker Guru and Jeevana Chaitra had completed one year run, Shivarajakumar's 'Janumadha Jodi' completed one year while his film 'Nanjundi Kalyana' completed one year in the past and now the happy situation is that Puneeth Rajakumar has joined the feat from 'Milana' film. Puneeth Rajakumar remembered his father Dr.Rajkumar on this occasion and he would have been very happy with this celebration he said.

But nobody knows how much money it has made or how many shows it had run. The question arrives because in PVR, every show should consists a minimum number of audience. Otherwise the authority will post pone the show. Even if the film doesn’t attract enough audience the show will be cancelled.

Milana was showing only one show in PVR and that too not regularly. In such instance its tough to say how many shows Milana was completed and how much money it earned. Any how one should be happy because the film completed one year in PVR.

Brisk shooting for kannada film Raj- The Showman

Puneeth Rajakumar and hat trick kannada director Prem is shooting in the palace city of Mysore for the second schedule of this whopping 6 crore budget film titled 'Raj – The Showman'.

“This is my dream project in life” says kannada director Prem who gave three consecutive hits like Kariya, Excuse Me, and Jogi and bit the dust from with his debut as hero in Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe'.

The maximum portion of expenditure is made on the style of making this film shooting in Bangalore, Mysore, Madiker, Kerala and four countries says director Prem.

“Everything needed for a Puneeth Rajakumar film will be there in this film. He is a power house who has proved with a series of hit films and this will be different from all”, explained Prem on the capability of Puneeth Rajakumar.

“The character, style, songs(free download here) and action are going to be marvelous treat for all the age group.I am seeing a lot of freedom and liberty to work under Prem”, says Puneeth. Producer Srinivasamurthy present at the shooting spot is a relieved man because director Prem is capable of getting anything easily. For any permission I am not running around. Prem and Puneeth is a fine combination, for our banner said Srinivasamurthy.

Ramesh Aravind is a cop in his 4th kannada film

The talented actor and director of Kannada cinema, Ramesh Aravind has taken up his fourth film for direction that is not titled yet.
The kannda film will be another laugh riot like the Rama Shama Bhama in which he is playing the role of a cop. There are two heroines for this film.
The earlier film directions of Ramesh Aravind Rama Shama Bhama starring Dr.Kamal Hassan, Satyavan Savitri a comedy flick and Accident a taut thriller were made with lot of intelligence.
Sinema House a corporate company in Bangalore has evinced interest in producing the film with Ramesh Aravind this time. Rickey Kej who created a sensation from his debut Kannada film 'Accident' is scoring the music and highly talented PKH Das is the cameraman.

Nimma kannada filmnalli punch line ideye?

PUC... Please You See;
Mad Love... It Never Ends;
Baazi... Guts Idre Bets;
Shivamani... Dandam Dashagunam;
Neenyaare... The Part of Breath;
Bindaas... No BP, Be Happy.

Sounds interesting? You’ll find these tag lines on kannada film posters all across Gandhinagar — the hub of action in Sandalwood.

So how did the trend start? “When I made Samrat, starring Vishnuvardhan, I had added a line, ‘It’s not just a film, it’s an experience,’ below the title of the kannada film. It clicked with my audience,” director Naganna informs us. “And the craze caught on,” he adds.

Even kannada actor Upendra didn’t expect the punch line of his superhit directorial (he also acted in it), A — Buddivantarige Maatra (for intellectuals only) — to attain cult status. “I had just started out in the industry; so the film didn’t boast of big names. The only way to attract the audience was by giving the film an unusual title,” explains Uppi. So he named it A to arouse curiosity. “But I was also worried that fans may mistake it for an adult film!” So, Uppi added the punch line, Buddivantarige Maatra, “so it also prepared them for the unique reverse screenplay I had adopted in the film,” he explains.

Industry watcher Vijayasarathy says tag lines play an important role in communicating the feel of the film. “Since most Kannada film buffs — the masses — do not access the Internet or read newspapers, they rely on posters to find out more about a film,” he adds. And it also promotes a film, says actor and filmmaker, Ravichandran.

Kannada Director Yograj Bhat agrees that the catchline of his blockbuster venture Mungaru Male — Hani Haniyalli Prem Kahani — had a huge impact. “It continues to be a talking point even a year after its release,” he says. “In fact, it was originally meant to be the title of the film.”
Says Ravichandran, “When I added the line ‘One and Only’ to the title of my film Ekaangi, my fans loved it.” “I have been coining punch lines for all my films,” says director Prakash. “I gave the caption, Colours of Love, for my film Milana, since the film was about the various stages of love. In my upcoming flick Vamshi, I’ve given the tag line Destiny’s Child. It conveys the crux of the story,” he says.

The recent hit Moggina Manassu has the tag line Pisu Pisu, Gusu Gusu. It also comes with a disclaimer, ‘A special film for girls,’ and ‘Viewing this film may be injurious to boys’ hearts.’ These lines were penned by its director, Shashank. “In south Indian films, it’s usually the directors who come up with punch lines. It’s only in B-town that they have a special team for such marketing stunts. If you have captions in English, adondu levelle bere,” he says.

Kannada actress Radhika’s in denial mode

She’s recovering from a bad cold but kannada actress Radhika Pandit has just wrapped up a dubbing session. “I’ve also been busy giving lots of interviews,” she smiles. “And Moggina Manasu has just celebrated 50 days, so I’m feeling on-top-of-the world,” she gushes. “There was absolutely no problem. I don’t know where people get such information from,” rues Radhika.

Kannada actor Golden star Ganesh gets lucky

Kannada director Harsha’s Surprise B'day Party

Choreographer-turned-director, Harsha, was in for a big surprise on his birthday recently. None of his friends called to wish him in the morning, which he found rather strange. And around noon, his colleague and friend, Kannada actress Tara, called him up and asked Harsha to come over to a five-star hotel to ‘discuss something’ about their on-going film, Birugaali. “That’s because my husband Venu and I had planned a surprise party for Harsha and our close friends including, Chaitanya, Chetan and Sitara joined the fun,” says Tara. And while Harsha arrived at the hotel all set for some serious discussion, he was greeted with a black forest cake instead. We heard some gooey chocolate was caked onto his face too!
