Kannada fim Bisile movie review

• DIRECTOR Sandeep S Gowda
• ACTORS Diganth, Jennifer Kotwal, Dwarakish, Jai Jagadish

Breezy and unpretentious, that is Sandeep’s kannada film Bisile for you. The newcomer deserves praise for a groovy narrative, lovable characters and witty dialogues.

The story goes like this: Vicky (Diganth) is a happy-golucky student whose obsession is showing off before his friends and managing money for booze. Though his flamboyance helps him wriggle out of trouble every time, his efforts at wooing Anu (his neighbour and collegemate) come a cropper as she barely acknowledges him. On a trip to Bisile Ghat, a thick forest area, the two get lost and love blossoms in the woods.

To the credit of director (who has written the story and dialogues as well) the film rolls like an effortless creation on the screen though the efforts behind the scenes could have been arduous. However, it is the fine-tuning of each character that makes the film captivating. Like Dwarakish with his obsession for a military career or Jai Jagadish as a father reluctant to see his daughter fall for a dandy. Even smaller characters stand out, like Biradara, who appears for less than a minute. So are the roles of Lakshmidevamma, Shivaram, Maina Chandru and Umesh. (Free download Bisile kannada film songs)

Though the storyline is slim, it is amply made up by dialogues. In this aspect, Diganth gets to mouth dialogues which his mentor Yograj Bhat made popular once — and it never goes over the top. Effortless, Bisile must be Diganth's best film to date. For the visual canopy he provides, Niranjan Babu, the cinematographer, too deserves a special mention. Sandeep’s dazzling debut offers a rare sunshine for Kannada industry. Bisile is a beauty. Soak in. (Download free MP3 kannada songs)

Though chocolate boy kannada actor Diganth, affectionately called 'Doodhpeda Diganth', has achieved success through Yogaraj Bhat directed kannada films, he has not been able to repeat the magic in films directed by others. But Diganth is confident that his new film Bisile directed by newbie director Sandeep S. Gowda will erase this notion in the trade circles. (Donwload sexy kannada actress pictures)

Kiran Reddy is the producer along with Chandru Gowda. Sandeep Gowda who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film says the story revolves around two youngsters with different upbringing and mindsets meeting in a trekking program. How they understand each other and fall in love forms the story. It is a feel good story with a lot of comic elements and a little bit of emotion. 'Bisile will change the common belief that Jennifer can only dance and look bubbly on screen. Diganth has also undergone a radical transformation', says Sandeep Gowda.

'We wanted to release the film in good theatres and multiplexes after Pancharangi and were prepared to wait', says Kiran Reddy. Dwarakish, Chitra Shenoy, Umesh, Sunethra Pandit, Late Maina Chandru are the other artists of the film.

'Mast Majaa Maadi was a hit, but unfortunately I was one of the four heroes in the film. But I think Bisile will certainly be liked by my fans as the story is youth oriented. I will always be grateful to Yogaraj Bhat for picking me in all his films since Mungaru Male. Bisile is a neat film with good songs and visuals. It is a complete film', says Diganth. (Read kannada actor Digant biography)

The film's heroine Jennifer says it is the best role in her career. 'I had to go on a trekking tour to many places. I saw the best of temples, jungles during the shoot', says Jennifer. Niranjan Babu is the cameraman. Gagan Bateria and Rishi Hari team up for the music.

Kannada beauty Nidhi interview and pictures

Trrrr. Recognised that? Kannada film PanchaRangi fans would immediately relate it to Nidhi Subbaiah’s character in the Yogaraj Bhat film. “In fact, many people have told me that they loved my role, especially the ‘Trrrr’ dialogue,” says Nidhi, who’s thrilled with the success of the film, which recently celebrated 50 days at the BO.

The Coorg lass admits that until now, no director has been able to tap her real talent. “I was unrecognised until Pancha Rangi happened. My true potential was tapped in this kannada film. The audience got a glimpse into my acting skills and discovered that I too could be a wholesome artiste,” she tells us.

And life has changed a lot for her since Pancha Rangi’s release. “People look at me differently now. They’ve realised that I not only have the acting chops, but also the ability to groove,” she says.
She’s all praise for her director Yogaraj Bhat. “It’s every heroine’s dream to work with him. He’s a class apart. Yog sir functions in a different way, just like one of those new-age directors. He gets the best out of you without you realising it. Another thing is that he’d write the dialogues on the spot. He’d gauge you as a person and write the dialogues accordingly. That’s the kind of genius he is,” states Nidhi. Nidhi’s on-screen chemistry with her co-star kannada actor Diganth (see also biography, age, family photo) has drawn much praise.

The actress tells us that he’s exactly like his Pancha Rangi character in real life. “Totally chilled out. I thought that since he’s worked with Yog sir in so many movies, he’d have a bit of an attitude, the ‘I’ve worked with this team so many times’ kind. But he’s so humble and chilled out. He doesn’t interfere with your shots or hair and make-up. I’ve worked with heroes who poked their nose into everything. Diganth minds his business and I did the same on the sets,” she reveals. Her current project Veera Bahu sees her play a traditional Iyengar girl. “A complete turnaround from the shorts-sporting girl of Pancha Rangi. I’m just like an S Mahendar heroine — wise, calm and with strong values,” explains the actress, who’s happy she got to be part of a “real action sequence”, replete with bullets, gundas and “me running in a saree”. “And when I’m not shooting, I chill at home or spend time with friends. I have friends in the industry, but I don’t discuss work with them,” she wraps up.

PANCHARANGI - Kannada movie review

• DIRECTOR Yograj Bhat
• ACTORS Diganth, Nidhi Subbaiah, Ramya Barna, Anant Nag, Raju Talikote
• RUN TIME 125 mins

A let down by Yograj Bhat. Pancharangi loses track from the word go. Heavy on dialogues (funny at times but evoking only a wry smile mostly), the film is the director’s philosophy on love, marriage and life distilled from his previous films. The story, scenes and plot are very diluted and could have easily fit into an hourlong tele-drama.

Falling in love during a big fat wedding is passe. Even Mungaru Male had that theme. So Yograj Bhat dilutes the backdrop to a meet with a prospective bride. Since it is not a wedding, the ancient and imposing house is not decorated; there are only a limited number of characters and the few locations seem overused. These make the film look stingy despite the excellent visualisation.

Bharat Kumar (Diganth) cares about nothing but abusing the ‘normal and boring’ life of other people and falls asleep anytime, anywhere. He funds his post- graduate course on Kannada by dressing up mannequins with sarees. His ‘normal’ brother has grown up to be a NRI techie on the insistence of their parents. The family goes to see a bride-to-be for the brother. Bharat and the girl’s cousin (Nidhi as Ambika) fall in love. Since there is not much of a story to comment on, it is nice to note that the dialogues are not predictable.

A character’s failure to reveal its true identity due to strict parenting, a fraud in the guise of a holy man, a blind man’s world view, a deserter’s quest for lost family are some of the better ideas in the film which still doesn’t manage to stamp an impression.

Since the love story has to happen in just a day and half, everything about the characters has to be revealed by way of dialogues alone. Diganth’s character who ends every sentence with the rhyming ‘galu’ begins to bore after a point. Perhaps the director knew the drawback of relying heavily on dialogues so the characters speak three different dialects of Kannada. The songs are good. But better heard than seen. Mostly good looking characters, but that is not everything about a film.

Kannada handsome chocolate boy Diganth about girlfriends

It’s been quite some time since kannada actor Diganth had a BO outing. His last was a guest appearance in Swayamwara. Now, the young actor’s long-pending kannada film, Bisile, is finally ready for release.

“It got delayed because of some technical issues. But I’m confident that it’ll do well as it’s an interesting subject,” says Digi, who’s currently busy learning dance steps for a song (download free songs here) in Yograj Bhat’s Pancharangi. Below is the photo of kannada actor Digant. One can use as wallpaper.

Quiz him about his Pancharangi co-star, Nidhi Subbaiah, and Digi’s all praise for her. “The best part is that she’s very fluent in Kannada, which makes her very impressive on-screen,” he says. As for him, Diganth’s all set to widen his language horizons. He’s making his Tollywood debut with Paani Puri, which will also be made in Kannada. “I always wanted to experiment in other languages. Language shouldn’t be a barrier for an artiste and this is the right time for me to explore opportunities regarding films in other regional languages,” he says. But working on Kannada films will always give him more satisfaction. “I think in my language and that helps me emote well,” he maintains.

The bilingual will not only see him mouth dialogues in Telugu, but sport a different look as well. “I’m retaining the stubbled look for Pancharangi and Putra, but I’m getting bored of it. I don’t look my age with it, and therefore can’t connect to my audiences with this look. So, I want to get a stylish look in Paani Puri. It’s a romantic comedy to be directed by Karan, who’s back after Kanasugara, which he made five years ago. A well-known actress will be paired opposite me,” says Digi.

With each of his kannada films, he continues to wow a lot of girls and many actresses want to work with him. So, how long is he planning to retain his single status? “A girlfriend is a mental block. I can romance heroines better on-screen if I’m single. But I’m glad to know that actresses want to work with me,” he says.

However, Diganth, in his bare body in this post, isn’t aiming to be Sandalwood’s Hero No. 1. “The numbers game is just temporary. But yes, I have been getting better projects this year,” he admits. And even though directors are keen to cast him in their films, the actor is in no hurry to go on a signing spree. “I’m waiting for Pancharangi to release, which will fetch me better projects,” he says, adding, “Bhatru (Yograj) is technically very well-equipped and has a good grasp of Kannada. If he’s not satisfied with a dialogue, he’ll come up with something else on the spot. His enthusiasm is contagious and makes us do things better.”

Coorgi beauty Kannada actress Nidhi Subbaiah pictures

This Coorgi beauty is the new find of the Kannada film industry. She bagged the important break of her career through acclaimed kannada director Yograj Bhat's film home production Pancharangi.
Model-turned-actress Nidhi Subbaiah, plays the female lead opposite kannada actor Diganth in the film. Below are the hot pictures / wallpapers / photos of Nidhi.

Her previous kannada film Krishna Nee Lateagi Baro, a comedy flick, fared well. Also, it is interesting to note that all female leads - Pooja Gandhi, Neethoo and Aindritha Ray - who acted in Bhat's films have made it big. Nidhi is hoping that she will go their way. Yograj Bhat's new kannada movie 'Pancha Rangi'

After having wrapped up the talkie portions of his latest offering at breakneck speed, kannada hitmaker Yograj Bhat is now in Mangalore to wrap up the film. “We just have a couple of songs to finish and then we’re done. They’re being choreographed by Murali,” says the director. After showcasing the hilly regions of Malnad, this time around, the director will shoot the lesserknown spots in Karavali. “I wanted to capture the pristine beaches of South Kanara on the big screen like never before,” says Yograj, who’s shot major portions of the film in and around Mangalore.

The maverick kanada director is working with his blue-eyed boy, kannada actor Diganth, for the fourth time in this movie. “There’s so much difference in the Diganth I met during the making of Mungaru Male and now. He’s matured so much that I find it hard to believe it myself. He was a kid back then. But the way he’s transformed into a serious actor today is unbelievable. Avnanna nodode ondu majaa,” observes Yograj. As for the lead actress, Nidhi Subbaiah, the director wonders why her talent remained untapped all this while. “She’s a face to watch out for. I’m sure Diganth and Nidhi will be the next hot pair. It’ll be tough for me to get their dates,” he laughs.

His other favourites like Sudha Belawadi, Padmaja Rao and Anantnag will team up once again in this film after Gaalipata. “The audience loves them and can’t get enough of all three. Besides them, there’s also Raju Talikote from Manasaare to provide comic relief. It’s a huge supporting cast of 17 people,” explains Yograj.

Kannada film Pancha Rangi has been shot in sync sound, a fact that the director is proud of. “This, coupled with Mano Murthy’s music, is bound to leave viwers spell bound,” says a confident Yograj. “The youngsters in particular, will relate to it wholeheartedly. I make movies mainly for youth and will do so even when I’m 70,” he tells us. But that doesn’t stop the family audiences coming in droves to the theatres. When he made Mungaru Male, it rescued the industry from a dry spell. “My team tells me Pancha Rangi will evoke a similar response as the industry is once again going through a bad patch. Let’s hope history repeats itself,” he tells us.

The kannada movie, which has also been produced by the director, is slated to release in August. Listen to Pancharangi songs online and download Pancharangi movie song lyrics.

Yograj Bhat new kannada flick Pancharangi with Diganth

After much haggling and brainstorming director Yograj Bhat has chosen a name for his new film with kannada actor Diganth and Nidhi Subbaiah. The film is to be named Pancharangi (five coloured). Bhat’s concept of the story is that a man’s life revolves around five important elements; education, career, love, parents and marriage/children.

“Whatever way we look at life, all aspects can be categorised into these five basic ideas,” says Bhat. There is a small hitch with the title though. Pancharangi Putta has already been registered with Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce by someone else and Bhat is trying to get a noobjection certificate from them for his title.

His close friend kannada director Suri, on the other hand, started with a title and afterwards wove a story around it. His film Jackie, with Puneeth Rajkumar in the lead, will start in February. Puneeth had said that the title was the name of the protagonist and was not to be confused with ‘jockey’.

kannada director duniya Suri lets out a little more about the film. “In local slang jackie is the moniker given to a person in a group who volunteers not to drink when the friends go on a trip. He is the one who drives the car and has to be on his guard. The title was taken from that concept,” he said.

Always tightlipped on anything about his films, Suri complains that most people in the industry are always on the lookout to steal ideas and concepts. “We have to safeguard the few ideas we use in the film with our lives. It takes seven months for the film to be released. Until then, it has to remain safe,” he said.

Candid Ramya with Kitty and Diganth

Kannada actress Ramya proved to be a toughie for Srinagara Kitty at a film function on Sunday. It was the audio launch of Kitty and kannada actor Diganth’s new film Swayamwara (remake of Hindi film Mujse Shaadi Karogi) and the actress was a guest.

Reflecting on the experience of an acquaintance on a cruise liner, Kitty remembered a raunchy joke which he enjoyed narrating. The joke obviously did not go well with Ramya whose immediate retort to the actor was, “Are you being a good husband?” Kitty had no answer and Ramya felt her job done by asking the same question again. Kitty has been married for a year. Kitty walked away to his car chastised.

Incidentally, Kitty and Ramya are costars in the forthcoming Sanju Weds Geetha. Nonetheless, Ramya also proved to be brand ambassadress for Swayamwara. It was not just through her attendance at the audio launch of the film but her generous ways. While she waited in the lobby of the hotel where the audio launch was held, a foreigner walked up to her and asked what the audio album in her hand was about. She pointed out to Kitty and said he was the actor in the film and gave away the CD asking the foreigner to listen to it. “Now
Swamyamwara will be promoted in Europe,” she gushed.

Yograj Bhat starring Doodh Peda diganth in his next Kannada Flick

After the grand success of the hit kannada filn of the year Manasare, Yograj Bhat has moved on to his next project. The Mungaru Male director will be teaming with the poster boy of Sandalwood and his personal favourite kannada actor Diganth, once again. The movie is set to go on the floors on December 6 and is a story that deals with today’s youth. To be shot in Chitradurga, Hiriyur and Bangalore, the film will be launched by YB’s home banner and coproduced by his close aide Subramanya.

“We’ve selected Haripriya as the heroine — she has an appealing face and is a Kannadati. It makes my job easy,” says Yograj.

As for Diganth, ask him why he’s repeating the actor in all his films and the director says, “He’s a no-nonsense actor. Digi understands my style of working and we share a comfort zone. I’m extremely fond of him and we’re good friends now.” In fact, Diganth has even accompanied his director pal to Chitradurga on his recce. So, does YB feel Digi commands star value? “Diganth’s a star today. He’s proving it as Manasaare is heading towards a 100-day run. He’s also growing as an actor. Yavaga avanu kaige sigalla, I’ll head off to search for a new face,” smiles Yograj.

MANASAARE - Kannada Movie Review

DIRECTOR: Yogaraj Bhat
ACTORS: Diganth Manchale, Aindrita Ray, Raju Thalikote, Neetu, Pavan Kumar

Kannada movie Manasaare released this week and it was one of the most awaited film this year. This Kannada film promises for gud fun with its catchy dailogues. We rate this film with four stars.

Let’s start with the assumption that audience will not come to this movie only because Yograj Bhat also directed Mungaaru Male. Quite impossible, because that is exactly why people will buy tickets for this kannada film manasare, and not because of the unknown sugar content of doodh peda Diganth or Aindrita Ray. Bhat seems to be burdened not by expectations but by a ‘tiredof-same-old’ syndrome.

Diganth’s character says he is tired of the same old love story, marriage, road and beer. In trying not to repeat things, Bhat manages to do exactly that. The film bets excessively on its dialogues, beautiful frames, Jayanth Kaikini and Mano Murthy. These things work, but the story which is an attempt at unifying workable filmy characters starts with a bang, whimpers through the middle and fizzles out in the end.

Manohar (Diganth) is a happy-go-lucky chap content with whiling away his time despite being a burden on his family. Among his many misadventures, he is mistakenly taken into a mental institution. His attempts to convince the doctors that he is the wrong person fail. His escape missions do not come through either. In one such attempt he comes across Devaki (Aindriata Ray), another mental patient undergoing treatment at the institution. Then it is love in the times of insanity. The rest of the film is spent wondering whether these two characters will escape the prison-like hospital or get out after being certified normal.

I actually did not expect much from Manassaare and I guess that’s the reason that the film has left me dumbfounded. The movie has very few negative aspects and a lot of positive aspects. So let me summarize the negative first so that it can be forgotten and elaborate on the positives so that they remain with us.

Negative:

The second half is slightly dragged and cannot keep up to the pace of the first half.
I am not sure if andrita was the right choice to play such a intense character. She looks good thou but her character becomes slightly irrelevant after a while.
The villain doctor theme could have been avoided I think. . it ate too much of screen time from such a feel good movie otherwise.

Thumbs up . .

Digant Digant and more Digant – I couldn even imagine that Digant could have turned into such a sensitive performer. Very matured acting. Its definitely different from all his chocolate hero potrayals.

What I liked best in his performance was that he was inhibited. He has shed all his consciousness and has let himself free in front of the camera. He looks undoubtedly stunning . .his dialogue delivery is crisp and appropriate. His body language is wonderful. And he steals the show in so many places.

I donot want to reveal the plot – but the sequence where he is trying to fool the doctor to take him back, he says “yeah . . please . . . .”
Every time he says vaapaas hogana baa please . . followed by his nakhras

The comedians in the film are ooutstanding . . .Satish Ninaasam is brilliant . . along with the background score that accompanies him . .he he he . . . . . . the Dharwad Kannada Jagadguru is simply supppppppppppppppppppppppppperrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbb . . . .!!! and so is Mitra . . . with his “Batte” obsession.

satya hedge scores with his brilliant cinematography. The camera work is outstanding. I was fullu impressed with the ligting techniques used and the tone of the entire film. The warmth does not go away any where and that’s beautiful.

Hands down to this brilliant movie that’s cute . . some times disturbing and some other times thought provoking and mostly entertaining. The true winners of the movie are Yograj Bhat for his direction and his whimsically humorous writing. Satya Hegde for his brilliant visuals . . . the comedians for putting life into the film . . and for Diganth – the soul of the movie. Who has gone beyond his amaaazing looks and his dimples and doodh peda image, to turn into a very matured performer. Guys catch this movie. Don’t miss it!!!

Overall manasaare is a wachable movie for its songs, dialogues and ofcourse handsome Diganth and beautiful Aindrita Ray. Book your tickests for this movie now!!!

Kannada actor digant's exclusive interview

I never step out of the house without my favourite bag. It’s from London and it was gifted to me by a cousin who lives there. And what makes it more special is that it has been signed by the Yankees.

I’m very organised about what I carry in my bag and am not someone who just throws random stuff in there. I usually carry a sunscreen lotion, a moisturiser, hair gel, a digital camera, my wallet, car keys, phone, deodorant and lip balm. And I never leave my house without glasses and and my credit cards. Even when I travel, I carry a very light bag.

Diganth kannada actor

AFTER Gaalipata, kannada actor Diganth seems to be bagging the right projects, or rather attracting the right producers. In the last six months, the actor has been gifted two cars in a row. A while ago, producer Vijaykumar gave him a car after Diganth signed his film, Kariye Kogile Madhavana. The movie didn’t take off, but the car stays with Diganth. “That’s because Vijaykumar is a really good friend of mine and we’ll definitely be doing a project later this year,” says Diganth.

Over the weekend, he drove home another car. This time it was presented by another producer, Chandru, who’s signed the actor with a remuneration of Rs 8 lakh. “It’s for his film Bisile. But I’ll be gifting this car to my dad on his birthday on August 8; My folks reside in Thirthahalli and will be shifting to Bangalore soon,” the actor tells us.

“And before people start wondering if I demand cars from my producers, let me tell you that it’s not so. I was given that option by the producers and the amount will be cut from my payment. The Rs 8 lakh I was paid for Bisile includes the car’s cost,” explains handsome kannada actor Diganth.

He’s also signed another flick called Time Pass with Hemanth Hegde that will also be made in Hindi with Arshad Warsi and Ritiesh Deshmukh. Watch this space to know if namma kannada actor Diganth gets more cars!

Recently a city tabloid reported that Tamil actor Vikram was doing a cameo in a Kannada film titled Holidayz to be directed by Hari Prasad.

The report claimed that the actor had been approached two years ago and has now finally consented to do the film. Kannada actors Diganth and Rajesh Krishnan have also been signed for the film, it said. “But I haven’t even heard of such a film, let alone sign it,” says Diganth.

As for kannada singer and actor Rajesh Krishnan, he told us that though the producers have approached him, discussions are still on. “I may or may not do the film and I definitely haven’t signed it,” asserts RK. Such tamasha out of nothing, really!
